We are looking for experienced Interior and Exterior Studio Engineers for a long contract with our client in the UK

Candidates must be very experienced in Catia V5

Job role:

Work with Designers and Surfacing to develop the feasibility of Exterior Theme (x1), including any overlays

  • Develop Primary and functional hardpoint datasets in Catia V5 to enable the designers to deliver feasible surfaces
  • Develop functional hardpoint datasets in Catia V5 to enable the designers to deliver feasible surfaces
  • Feed the agreed Primary and Functional hardpoints in to Design, complete Catia studies where there are conflicts to understand if the Design themes are achievable and work with Concepts and Engineering functions to resolve the conflicts.
  • Maintain hardpoint/surface tracker with latest status on designs acceptance and compliance of hardpoints
  • Suggest alternative technologies to solve design challenges
  • Check surfaces and feedback to surfacing and Design any significant errors prior to surface release
  • Attend and represent Design at relevant technical meetings
  • Work with the Design Validation team to build early VR sessions and run meetings to review hardpoints and package challenges with Design
  • Support Design input to attributes process by benchmarking the specified competitor set and feedback on scoring criteria
  • Complete Design overlay feasibility investigations, present back to Engineering/Project for inclusion in the project
  • Support modelling with project data and hardpoints for development of bucks/models
  • Work with the innovation department to validate and develop relevant innovations in to the Design themes
  • Support EPC in the development of the section book
  • Engage with Gap and Rad team and support the Gap and Rad reviews on behalf of ED. Feedback to Designers where there are conflicts
  • Work with Press Feas and manufacturing to feedback early prognosis in to Design
  • Work with Aero/EPC to incorporate Aero targets in to the design themes
